At the start of the World Cup many of us had bluntly predicted that “India won't even reach quaterfinals as they were not in the form” just because it has failed to register a single win in the Test series against Australia and even in the tri-series, which also involved England as the third team.

Whether you agree with it or not, but after Team India's lost against Australia, there are many who have turned 'unkind' towards the Indian team.

Not only this, most of the Twitter users also expressed their anger on Anushka Sharma, girl-friend of Virat Kohli, and blamed her for the loss. People, also, targeted Anushka for Virat's poor performance.

Also, Captain Cool “Mahendra Singh Dhoni”, was next to be blamed for the failure. However, Dhoni made no excuse for India's loss to Australia. He said the fast bowlers could have done slightly better.

Team Indian player, Ravindra Jadeja, took it to Twitter and posted a picture of Dhoni and said he gave an awesome reply to people clarifying his take.

Actress Neha Dhupia posted a statement on Facebook saying, “A teary eyed ‪#‎dhoni‬ ... One of the best captains ‪#‎india‬ has ever seen... Took an average team to the semi-finals of the World Cup ! All this via @hardydhupia ‪#‎beatsportsenthusiast‬ ‪#‎bleedblue‬.

As a precautionary measure, security was intensified at ‪‎Dhoni‬’s residence in Ranchi as his home previously has been attacked several times after the loss.

Many offered their advice to Dhoni to announce his retirement and not to play in the next World Cup. However, there were many, who said--

More tweets came in favour of Dhoni...

One from actor Anupam Kher..

Another support from actor Ayushmann Khurrana--

A fair reply to all those who can just talk--

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has lately become father to a daughter, but had no time to see her as he was on “National duty.”

Jadeja thanked people for their support and posted on Twitter saying,

Team India our pride today, tomorrow!
