Both Singh and Jaya were expelled from the SP for indulging in anti-party activities.Singh formed Lok Manch and fielded 360 candidates in Uttar Pradesh during 2012 assembly polls.

The RLD is contesting Lok Sabha polls in alliance with Congress in the state. As per the seat sharing formula, the RLD will contest from eight seats, while the Congress will field candidates on remaining 72 seats.

The RLD will field candidates on Baghpat, Kairana, Bijnor, Nagina, Amroha, Hathras, Mathura and Bulandshahr seats.

Both Amar Singh and Jaya are likely to contest Lok Sabha polls on RLD ticket.
