Chandigarh: Punjab Congress head Amarinder Singh on Sunday took serious objection to senior leader Rajinder Kaur Bhattal's recent remarks questioning what he said various party decisions, and advised her not to make such statements in public or media.

He said If Bhattal had any opinion about functioning of the party, she should better give it to the high command in particular Congress president Sonia Gandhi.

Taking exception to Bhattal's remarks in Jalandhar on Sunday, Amarinder said she should avoid making such statements in public or media.

In a statement in Chandigarh, Amarinder said the party high command had strictly asked all leaders not to air personal opinion about the party functioning in public.

A senior leader like Bhattal should better follow the party discipline and the guidelines, he said.

Bhattal had been party to everything whether it was the election campaign or distribution of tickets, Amarinder said.
