Los Angeles: Pop diva and actress Jennifer Lopez says the judges of new season of 'American Idol' will play a tough role as compared to the previous season.

Lopez, 42, who will be judging the show along with Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, admits the show's current standard would put aspiring singers in comparison with the top 24 from last season.

"We're a little tougher on everybody. Because of last season and the standard that we set, it's easy to go, 'Is he as good as even our top 24 from last year?'," said the 'Papi' singer.

Assuring that the upcoming season of 'Idol' will still be glittered with "amazing" talents, Lopez said, "It's not like you find people just like that, but the ones that we found, we know are very special."

Lopez, who recently split from husband Marc Anthony, says her relationship with fellow judges of the show is warming.

"They're like my brothers and they drive me crazy like brothers, too. But we love each other, which is why we've become like a family," she added.
