Washington: There is a lot of enthusiasm and support for President Barack Obama among American youths, Indian-American actor Kal Penn has said.

Entrusted with the task of mobilising the youths of the country, Penn said, "I think when you're looking at social media, even if you're looking at something as simple as how many follow the president on Twitter versus Governor Romney (Mitt), obviously it's not going to be a reflection of how folks vote, but I think it is a reflection of the young people's trends."

Pen, who has travelled to more than 16 battleground states, said that there was a lot of enthusiasm and support for Obama among the youths of the country.

Led by Penn, the Obama campaign is targeting the young voters of the country.
