Ahmedabad: Sulking Congress leader Narhari Amin has raised banner of revolt against the party for being denied ticket. Amin further went on saying that the Congress will face the humiliating defeat in upcoming Gujarat Assembly election.
Upset over being denied a Congress ticket from Gandhinagar South, former Deputy Chief Minister and party heavyweight Amin had announced that he would not campaign for the party and asked his supporters not to participate in any rally or election meeting.

Amin also kept everyone guessing by keeping an option open to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. Disgruntled leaders held a meeting under Amin’s leadership and sent a strong message to the party high command.

According to Amin, the indifference shown to a faithful leader like him will definitely cost the party dearly. He is of the view that the party will won lesser number of seats this time.

Amin has also got support of senior congress leaders including former Mayor Himmat Singh Patel, Badruddin Shaikh, leader of opposition in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation over the alleged irregularities in distribution of tickets.
