Chatra: While addressing people and party workers gathered in a conference on parliamentary development at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on Thursday, Union Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal said that the place of North Karanpura Mega Thermal Project would be shifted away as huge coal store has been found here.

He also announced that work on Tandava Amrapali and Magadh coal projects will be started soon.
“Coal demand is ever growing in foreign countries. Many parties want construction of NTPC in North Karanpura, which is not possible,” said Sriprakash Jaiswal.

Speaking about poor development in Jharkhand, he said, “Since the formation of the Jharkhand, the state is going backward in comparision to Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand which are developing fast.”

State Congress in-charge Dr Shakeel Ahmed alleged that during the election, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha asked votes on the ground of secularism, but later they joined with communal forces.
