Bhopal: The 195th birth anniversary of the founder of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Sir Syed Ahmad Khan was celebrated.
A large number of alumni under the banner of 'AMU Old Boys Association, Bhopal' recalled Sir Syed's contribution in establishing the university during British rule at a function held on Wednesday night.
Madhya Pradesh Minority Communities chairman Anwar Mohammad Khan urged the University to adopt a more rational and scientific thinking that would enable it to bring changes in the society in accordance with contemporary challenges.
Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy Chairman Saleem Qureshi, Shahar Qazi, Bhopal, Maulana Syed Mushtaque Ali Nadvi also spoke on the occasion.
