"Now, the ball is in the President's court and Andhra Pradesh Assembly. The GoM has tried to do an honest job of taking everybody's concerns on board," Ramesh said after the Cabinet meeting, which gave a go-ahead for the creation of a 10-district Telangana.

"The GoM report should be seen in its totality, not in isolated bits and pieces," he said without elaborating.

Dropping a controversial move to add two districts of Rayalaseema to Telangana, which was opposed by various stakeholders, the Cabinet, presided over by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, approved a draft reorganization bill based on recommendations of the GoM.
