Anil, who is sporting grey hair for the first time, plays the father of two grown-up children (Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh) in the film. "I am excited about my look. It was very difficult to get that right. Actors generally go for a wig but I chose to look as real as possible. We really worked hard to get that salt-n-pepper appearance," Anil said.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the coming-of-age film also stars Shefali Shah, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar in pivotal roles. The 'No Entry' star feels Zoya, who last helmed 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara', is a brilliant director to work with.
The film will have its screening at IIFA 2015 on June 6, a day after its release worldwide. The actor, who is one of the prominent faces of the award extravaganza, feels the ceremony is bigger than any domestic
award shows.
"IIFA is completely different. You cannot find any award show like this. It's like a festival-cum-award show. It's like Cannes and Oscar. I am not comparing IIFA with them because they are done on much larger scales. We are trying to do our best."
