New Delhi: Veteran social activist Anna Hazare has said that to get to the bottom of coal scam, the judiciary will have to step in.

He further opined that if a committee is made then more people will go to jail than they did in the 2G matter.

The Gandhian claimed that the CBI can’t unearth the facts by saying, “The CBI cannot do anything. To unearth the coal scam, the court should investigate the matter,” he said.

“I am sure that wrongdoings had been committed in the allocation of coal blocks,” he said.

Hazare also said that those who run the government do not have a social or national point of view. “Names of Congress leaders like Navin Jindal and Vijay Darda are doing the rounds in coal scam,” he said.

The activist said people get elected on the basis of power and then use the Parliament for misdeeds. “Politics has become kind of a racket for many,” he said.

He lamented that after an uproar over the coalgate and FIRs registered in the scam, things have become quiet on that front.
