New Delhi: In the backdrop of Civil Society's movement, the tug of war between the ruling dispensation and social crusader Anna Hazare has intensified.

After the Congress-led UPA government attacked Hazare for saffron link, he wrote a letter to UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi challenging her to prove his relations with BJP-RSS.

Hazare, in his letter, registered his reservations against the statements of ruling government and stated firmly that he was politically neutral.

Hazare said that owing to corruption in political parties he never got associated with any organization.

“If leaders and the government lie to public for settling political scores, it will be a cause of concern for country’s future and democracy,” said Hazare.

Citing government’s apathy towards the Lokpal Bill, Hazare also alleged that people in the government are cheating.

Congress had dubbed both Ramdev and Anna Hazare as a mask of BJP and RSS.

Raising his doubt about meeting the deadline, June 30, of Lokpal Bill, Hazare said, talks are on since one and a half months and till now main issues like Anti-Corruption Branch, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and other agencies were not discussed in the meetings.

“How can you finish the drafting of the Bill till June 30?” he asked.

Hazare has also threatened to go on fast from August 16 if the Bill is not drafted till August 15.
