New Delhi: Riding high on public support, the solidarity for Anna Hazare’s movement for a strong Jan Lokpal Bill is gaining momentum. The supporters of the anti-graft movement are not losing steam in raising their voices. And what is providing fuel to their robust slogans of ‘Hail Hazare’ and ‘Hai Hai Corruption’? ‘Anna ki Rasoi’.

A small makeshift kitchen which started with 20 volunteers has turned into a full-fledged unit that provides three meals in day to the supporters of Anna Hazare. The kitchen, which is also being supported by many catering agencies, serves tea, poori and vegetable for breakfast and also arranges lunch and dinner for the crusaders at the Ramlila Maidan.

One of the volunteers Sanjay Sharma said, “We are engaged in providing food to the people who are gathering here from different places. We are contacting more volunteers for this through phone,” he said.

Sharma said there are around 100 volunteers who are engaged in handling the ‘Anna ki Rasoi’.

“This is a historical moment for us. We are not here to make money but Hazare’s selfless movement against corruption has dragged us here,” said another caterer.

“We are doing as much as we can by lending our catering services. We are trying to provide delicious food to the supporters and through their donations we are arranging for necessary items for the kitchen,” added another caterer.
