Meerut: The call of Gandhian Anna Hazare to hold protest before Union Ministers and parliamentarians is restricted not only to the national capital. Union Tourism Minister Sudodh Kant Sahay came face to face with this reality in his recent trip to Mathura.

Annoyed over the UPA failure on this issue, Hazare supporters waved black flags at Sahay near the memorial of Pandit Gaya Prasad in Talhati. Shouting anti-UPA slogans, the protestors made their intentions clear before the Union Minister.

Sahay came out of his car to pacify the protest, however all his efforts in this regard fell flat. Following which, the Minister’s cavalcade had to take a diversion as the adamant protests refused to leave the road.

Meanwhile, the supporters of Hazare had gheraoed the house of Member of Lok Sabha from Fatehpur, Seema Upadhya. The supporters only after the assurance from the MP started to disperse.

It was a similar situation in Bareilly, where the campaigners of India against Corruption protested in front of the house of Rajya Sabha member, Veerpal Singh.
