New Delhi: Anna Hazare’s call to hold protest outside the residences of elected representatives and politicians in the anti-corruption crusade has increased the miseries of Delhi police.

Sunday evening witnessed a large section of Anna’s supporters holding a protest near the residence of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and HRD Minister Kapil Sibal. Following which the instructions were passed by police top brass to step up the security arrangements outside the house of Ministers, parliamentarians and noted politicians.

An important meeting of top police officials was held on Sunday evening at Delhi Police headquarters. According to sources, additional police force has been deployed outside the residences of Union Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal, Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, former parliamentarian Sajjan Kumar and State minister Rajkumar Chauhan.

Apart from this, directions have been issued to increase the security of Ministers residing in Delhi. Team Anna also passed on the message that people can protest in front of the residences of the public representatives to raise their voice for an effective Jan Lokpal.

A few protestors tried to hold protest near the PM residence at 7 Race Course Road but they were stopped at Windsor Point. Police detained them after they refused to move away from the road.
