New Delhi: Dinesh Yadav, a supporter of Anna Hazare who set himself on fire outside Rajghat, succumbed to his injuries at LNJP hospital on Monday. Annoyed over the Union Government stand on the Jan Lokpal, Yadav set himself ablaze on August 22.

After completing Yadav’s autopsy, the body was handed over to his family members who left for Paliganj in Bihar to perform his last rites. Civil Society member Arvind Gaud after hearing the news of Yadav death immediately reached the hospital and expressed his condolences on behalf of his team.

The hospital provided free ambulance service to take the body to Yadav’s native place. It is believed that the Civil Society has extended some financial assistance to the family member.

Dinesh Yadav, (32), who hails from Bihar’s Dulhin Bazaar was the eldest in his family. Despite not being linked to any political party, Yadav was a renowned figure in his village for his services as a social worker.

On August 22, Yadav shouted pro-Hazare slogans and poured petrol on himself to set himself on fire near Rajghat. He sustained 85 percent burn injuries and was rushed to LNJP hospital in a critical condition.
