Recently, it was  announced that director Rahul Dholakia’s film "Raees", starring Shah Rukh Khan, will hit theatres on Eid in 2016. Worrywarts are wondering if Salman Khan will again give up his favourite annual slot of movie releases.

Salman would be working for Yash Raj Films' upcoming movie "Sultan", that might be slated for an Eid release in 2016. But with "Raees" booking that date, a clash between Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan look inevitable at the box office.
In such a scenario, audience would be divided and both the films will incur losses. Meanwhile, the YRF has apparently decided to push the release of ‘Sultan’ to other suitable date. So, the clash of the two titans of tinsel town looks averted for time being.

Neither has Salman nor SRK started the shooting of ‘Sultan’ or ‘Raees’ yet.

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have clashed at the box office a number of times. Their movies ‘Don’ and ‘Jaaneman’ released on the same day in October 2006. Similarly, their films 'Om Shanti Om' and 'Saawariya' clashed again in November 2007.
