"The minimum temperature recorded this morning was 9.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below yesterday's 11.3 degrees Celsius," a MeT official said.

The MeT Office has forecast a partly cloudy day ahead. The humidity recorded at 8.30 AM was 95 percent while the visibility was 500 metres.

According to a Northern Railway official, around 24 North-bound trains were running behind schedule due to dense fog in morning hours.

"The maximum temperature is likely to settle at 20 degrees Celsius," the official said.

Wednesday's maximum temperature was recorded two notches below the season's average at 20.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was three notches above the season's average at 11.3 degrees Celsius.
