Varanasi: Another death of a deputy CMO has been reported in connection with National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam in Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place when doctor Shailesh on his way to the Pindra Health centre met with an accident. He was going to the health centre to meet the CBI.

Notably, three doctors accused of the scam have lost their lives. One is believed to have committed suicide.

Though eye witnesses say that Shailesh died in a road accident, it is assumed that the NRHM scam is the reason behind his death. The CBI after investigating the documents at the CMO office had summoned Sailesh on Thursday for questioning.

According to sources, after leaving the CMO office, Shailesh had discussed the matter with his colleagues and other senior officers over phone. But before he could confront the CBI he met with the accident.
