New Delhi: In yet another shocking story from Bangalore, a 90-year-old man was found chained at his residence who was rescued by police on Wednesday.

Anantha Shetty was allegedly chained up by his son in a makeshift shed on the terrace of the three-storey building located in south Bangalore. When asked in this regard, his son claimed that he tied his father in chains as the latter was unclean and didn't bathe.

The man is currently being treated at a government hospital in Bangalore. According to the police, no arrests have yet been made in the case as they are waiting to record the statement of the elderly person.

This came a day after a 32-year old woman, Hemavathi, was rescued in Bangalore after being locked up at her residence for over four years by her parents.

The woman, a graduate in Commerce stream, was found in a traumatized state when police visited the house after receiving a tip off in this connection.
