The actress plays the role of a jazz singer in the period drama.

As she completed the shooting of ‘Bombay Velvet’ on Monday, the entire unit got together and organised a bottle of champagne, a bunch of flowers and a cake with a message that reads: “Thank you Rosie. All the best to our singing star,” said a statement.

The 25-year-old even took to Twitter to express herself.

“Wrapped ‘Bombay Velvet’ last night (Monday). Highly emotional moment saying bye to the best crew and cast. This is a very special film for me,” she tweeted on Tuesday.

Directed and co-produced by Anurag Kashyap, the film is based on historian Gyan Prakash's book ‘Mumbai Fables’, a story of how the city of Mumbai became a metropolis against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and jazz music.

Bombay Velvet is the story of one ordinary man who goes against all odds and forges his destiny to become a 'Big Shot'.

The film will feature Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in lead roles while Karan Johar will play the primary antagonist. Raveena Tandon, Kay Kay Menon and Siddharth Basu will appear in supporting roles.
