The star’s maiden production, NH 10, was slated to release in September this year, but it was pushed ahead to 2015 as she had two big projects - Bombay Velvet with Ranbir Kapoor and PK with Aamir Khan releasing in November and December respectively.

As a producer and actor in NH10, Anushka clearly needed a time gap to market and promote the road thriller. It was, therefore, decided to postpone NH 10 to next year.

Now with Bombay Velvet pushed to May 2015, her plans for NH 10 seem to have gone for a toss.

“The shoot of NH 10 was wrapped up in Jodhpur in May. But since Anushka has two films lined up, the idea was not to clutter her releases. They didn’t want the actress’s films to release back-to-back. So the film was pushed to 2015,” said the source.

Directed by Navdeep Singh, NH 10, has Neil Bhoopalam as Anushka’s co-star.

“Bombay Velvet’s director Anurag Kashyap’s sudden announcement took everyone unawares. Now a release date for NH10 has to be finalized keeping in mind this new development. Besides, Anushka is also part of Dil Dhadakne Do, which releases in June 2015 just after Bombay Velvet. So now she has to look for a suitable release date for NH 10,” adds the source.

Anushka’s spokesperson says, “Nothing has been finalized as of now. The film is in post-production and it will release on the best possible date.”
