New Delhi: The long wait for the medical students was over on Friday with the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) declaring the MHT-CET 2012 examination results four days before. However, the results were published on the official website of DMER on Frdiay, it was made available on the official website of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) on Saturday.

The results can be accessed on the websites, and from 10 am onwards on Saturday.

For accessing the results, the students are required to fill their codes followed by the MHT-CET 2012 roll codes and their date of birth mentioned in the application form.

Earlier, the results were expected to be out by June 14 but the DMER has announced it before.

The MHT-CET, conducted by the DMER on May 10, is the state government's combined entrance examination for admissions to first-year degree courses in health science, engineering and pharmacy courses.

According to DMER, 3,34,716 candidates appeared for MHT-CET.

As per the released reports, of the 2,15,580 students who appeared for health sciences section, 28,616 students were declared eligible for admissions this year. In the engineering and pharmacy section, all the 2,80,042 students who appeared for PCM/PCMB papers, have been declared eligible for admission.

Continuing with the trend, the girls outshined boys in all the three categories (health science, engineering and pharmacy) this year.

The girls of Marathwada region performed remarkably well against the boys with 22.32 percent of girls clearing the test in medical category against their male counterparts. Only 13.66% boys could get into medical this year.

Mark sheets will reach colleges on June14.
