The Intermediate public exams are conducted every year in the state of Andhra Pradesh by the AP Board of Intermediate Education.

The Board is one of the biggest Education Board in the country. It was formed in 1971 for regulating education at Intermediate level in the state.

Andhra Pradesh is the first state in the country which has adopted the (10+2+3) pattern of education. The Board supervises the system of Intermediate education in the state and also specifies the study course and interconnected matters.

The main role of the Board includes devising study material/ course, prescribing syllabus, conducting examinations, granting affiliations to colleges and providing direction, support and leadership for all educational institutions under its jurisdiction.
