Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education was set up in 1971.

It regulates & supervises the structure of Intermediate education in Andhra Pradesh. This board widely recognized as BIEAP (Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh) is the foremost state in the nation which adopted the 10+2+3 pattern of education.

The intermediate exams are generally referred as class 11th for junior AP intermediate and 12th for Senior AP Intermediate. The Board conducts the intermediate exams every year and in this year too many students appeared in the AP board Exam.

Around 10, 10, 915 students had appeared in the class 12th AP board exams 2014 held between March 13 and April 1.
