The new update showed up on the user’s iPhones on Thursday night, six days after the flaw was discovered. The new iPhone versions iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C are also reported to receive the update.

The update varies from 17MB to 20MB depending on the device. A week ago, a hacker demonstrated that the control center of iOS 7 had a flaw which enabled him to access the photos, email, twitter and facebook accounts of a user.

It is the first time that an update has been rolled out within seven days after the detection of a bug, keeping in mind Apple’s history of releasing the updates after 2 weeks.

It is still unclear if the update also corrects the bug which let users call any number via the emergency call screen.
