Mumbai, Jan 15 (JNN): Mozart of Madras once again did India proud on Saturday by winning the coveted Best Original Song award at the 16th Critics Choice Awards, Los Angeles, for his spirited number ‘If I Rise’ in collaboration with Dido.

Written by Rollo Armstrong and Dido, ‘If I Rise’ is one of the soundtracks performed by AR Rahman and Dido for Oscar winner Danny Boyle’s ‘127 Hours’.

The Critics' Choice Movie Awards are bestowed annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) to honour the finest in cinematic achievement.

The star-studded ceremony was held at the Hollywood Palladium. 'The Social Network' was named the year's Best Picture and David Fincher won the Best Director honours for the film.

Hollywood's Colin Firth won the Best Actor award for his role in 'The King's Speech' and Natalie Portman was declared the Best Actress for her performance in 'Black Swan'.

‘127 Hours’ is a biographical adventure flick based on the life and times of mountain climber Aron Ralston.

AR Rahman has also been nominated for the 2011 Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score for ‘127 Hours’.
