Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda, who suffered multiple injuries in a helicopter crash, was on Saturday shifted to the ward from the ICU.

“The CM, his wife and the two pilots have been shifted as their condition has improved. All of them are doing well,” Apollo Hospital’s Public Relations Officer Javed Akhtar said.

Neurosurgeon Dr Sanjay Kumar said Munda’s recovery was fully satisfactory and there was no pain.

The nuerosurgeon had yesterday said Munda could be shifted last night or today as his condition was improving with his vital parameters like pulse and blood pressure being satisfactory.

Munda, his wife, two pilots, an MLA and a security officer were injured after the helicopter crash-landed at the Birsa Munda Airport on Wednesday.

Munda's security officer Manoj Singh was shifted out of the ICU on Friday while BJP MLA Barkuanr Gagrai was discharged on the same day.
