Chennai: Armaan Ebrahim's priority for the weekend is straight and it revolves around Formula Two even though the invite from the US to test Indy Lights next month is also behind his head.

Armaan, who finished among the points in the previous two F2 rounds at Brands Hatch last month, is confident of continuing the run in the 11th and 12th round races of the championship at Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria this weekend.

The 22-year-old had a ninth and sixth place finish at Brands and he is positive of scoring further up the order, especially with the car performing well after the changes made last month.

"It will be my first time at the Red Bull Ring and I am obviously looking forward to the weekend. The points finish at Brands has put me in a better frame of mind and my target now is to move further up the grid which I feel I am capable of," said Armaan.

But if the tests and negotiations in the US, with Indy Lights team Bryan Herta Autosport, are successful, the races at Red Bull could be among the last the 22-year-old will compete in Europe before shifting focus to across the Atlantic.

Armaan has been racing in F2 in Europe for the last three years and the change, a big one at a crucial point in his career, is "important", he agrees. "But so are the races in Austria and the performance in F2 where I want to score as much points as possible."

"At this moment, I am not thinking of the Indy test drive. I am focused on this weekend's races. After changing the turbo at Brands, the car seems to be in good shape and I am hoping for the best," he added.

Meanwhile, Parthiva Sureshwaren, who is the second Indian in the F2 grid, is also bullish about his chances at Red Bull after an improved show last month.

"It's a circuit that I have never raced before, but I'm definitely looking forward to driving here as it looks like a great circuit for the drivers. Preparation is crucial for learning a new circuit and I will commit to learning as much as possible before the first practice session. Hopefully, I can come up with a good result this weekend bettering my showing in Brands Hatch," said Parthiva, who had finished 11th at Brands, his best result in the series so far.
