Srinagar: Foiling a major terror bid ahead of the Independence Day, Army recovered 46 kg of RDX here on Saturday.

Recovery of such a huge amount explosives days before the 64th Independence Day is indeed a big accomplishment for the Indian army.

Union Defence Ministry spokesperson Lt. Col. J S Barar said “The Kilo force had got the information about the malicious conspiracy of disrupting peace during I-day, after which search operations were started.”

With the help of dog squads, 46 kgs of RDX were recovered in a plastic bag buried in Jandakot area of Srinagar.

“The local police have been informed about the recovery,” Barar said adding “however, no arrest has been made in this regard as yet.”
