London: Former Californian governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has refused to pay USD 400 million as spousal support to his estranged wife, Maria Shriver.

Schwarzenegger, who has filed his response to Shriver's divorce petition, has asked the judge to terminate her spousal support request, according to reports.

However, like his wife, the 'Terminator' star is also seeking joint custody of the couple's two minor children Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13.

Shriver, 55, had also pledged that Schwarzenegger, 63, should pay for her attorney's fees, but the former politician instead has requested the judge to make each party foot the bill for their respective lawyers.

Since the estranged couple lacked a pre-nuptial agreement, so under the Californian law, they will be entitled to a 50/50 split of all earnings and property accumulated during their 25-years marriage.

The former couple is estimated to be worth around USD 400 million.

Schwarzenegger's confession of fathering a love-child with their house-maid for over a decade led to the end of their 25-year marriage.
