New Delhi: LK Advani’s Jan Chetna Yatra against graft suffered serious jolt with the arrest of former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on corruption charges. The rally which is yet to complete half of its journey has given the Congress a reason to put the BJP into a tight spot.

Launching scathing attack on Advani’s yatra, the Congress members Manu Singhavi, Renuka Chaudhary and Manish Tewari has asked Advani to start his anti-corruption rally from Karnataka. According to Singhvi, Advani’s yatra and corruption charges on Yeddyurappa has put forth party’s dual image.

Undoubtedly, tough time lies ahead for the BJP leader while taking out the rally in BJP ruling states where corruption charges have recently hit the headlines. It includes Jharkhand, Karnataka and Uttarakhand. Interestingly, in a bid to save the party’s image, re-shuffling of Chief Minister took place in Uttarakhand and Karnataka.

As a matter of fact, difference over Advani’s rally remained prevalent within the party. According to the few senior BJP functionaries it was not the appropriate time for the yatra as there were several reasons for the ruling government to counter-attack the party.
