Bose, who pressed for his bail Saturday on health grounds but was refused and remanded to judicial custody till December 5, complained of heart-related ailments on Sunday night.

He was admitted to the government-run S.S.K.M. Hospital.

"He complained of heart-related problems last night (Sunday) following which he was admitted on Monday morning," said a SSKM hospital doctor.

Bose, the editor of Trinamool mouthpiece Jago Bangla and Bengali newspaper 'Sambad Pratidin', was arrested on November 21 by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for his prima facie involvement in the Saradha scam over allegations of criminal conspiracy, misappropriation of funds and deriving undue financial benefits.
