The commissioner in an order today advised the consumers not to consume the said Maggi Noodles (9 variants) till further communication from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

The order was issued after the FSSAI directed Nestle India Ltd, manufacturer of Maggi instant noodles with tastemaker, to recall all 9 variants of noodles with immediate effect, an official comminique said here today.

With state after state banning Maggi over the presence of lead and 'MSG', Nestle has withdrawn the product from Indian market due to "unfounded confusions" that has affected the consumer trust, but maintained that its noodles are safe for consumption.
