According to reports, the AAP leader was detained in Radhanpur late in the afternoon for violation of the model code of conduct as he had not sought permission for the road show.

The Gujarat Police, however, denied reports saying Kejriwal was merely stopped to check if they had taken permission to hold a rally.

Earlier, Kejriwal and his team, comprising AAP workers from the state unit, were shown black flags when they reached at a turning outside Shankheshwar village near Patan in the afternoon. The protestors, 10 to 12 in numbers, also shouted slogans labeling him ‘anti-Gujarat’.
Kejriwal, who on Wednesday embarked on his four-day visit of the state to ‘verify’ Modi's development model, was heading towards Sami village in the district.
The agitators are apparently livid over candidature of Patkar by AAP for the Lok Sabha elections. Patkar is the AAP nominee for Mumbai North East constituency.

"Medha Patkar is against the Narmada project...Narmada is our mother and also the lifeline of Gujarat," said one of the protesters.
When asked, a villager, who participated in the protest, said he was supporter of BJP ideology but not associated with any party.
