Ajmer (JPN/Bureau): The main accused in the Ajmer Dargah blast, Malegaon blast and Samjhauta blast cases, Swami Aseemanand has agreed to become an approver, sources in anti terrorism squad (ATS) of Rajasthan revealed on Wednesday.

He sent a sealed letter to a local court here requesting confidentiality to its contents. Sources suggest that ATS has even sent a confirmation letter about the development to Union Home Ministry, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and state Home Minister Shanti Dhariwal.

Aseemanand, who was produced in the court along with two other accused Mukesh Vasani and Harshad Solanki, gave the letter to Chief Judicial Magistrate R L Moond on Tuesday.

According to sources, he had handed over the letter to Ajmer Central Jail superintendent Preeta Bhargav on February 11.

Aseemanand (59), a right-wing Hindu group Abhinav Bharat member, while giving the letter requested the court to keep its content confidential.

The court also extended the judicial custody of the three accused till March 1.

ATS believes Aseemanand’s becoming approver in the case will lead to more revelations about others involved in various cases in which he is accused and can prove to be the turning point.

The case of other three accused Devender, Lokesh Sharma and Chandershekhar is posted for hearing on February 19 in the court of District Magistrate.
