New Delhi: Singing legend Asha Bhosle has promised a very special gift for "Indian Idol 6" contestant Devendra Pal Singh. She has said she will attend the 17-year-old's wedding whenever it happens.

The mischievous Devendra was up to some antics in the second gala round of the popular singing reality show when judge Anu Malik and Salim Merchant began pulling his leg.

They teased him for being young and always opting to sing serious songs.

Show hosts Hussain Kuwajerwala and Mini Mathur added in the fun by saying that by the time he reaches a marriagble age, he will understand the meaning of the songs he sings.

It was at this point that Asha interrupted and said she will attend Devendra's wedding whenever it happens, said a source from the sets.

After hearing this, the youngster's happiness knew no bounds. The episode will be on air Saturday.

Asha had also revealed in an earlier episode that Lataji had a message for Ludhiana's Devender Pal. She had told Devender that his voice had touched Lataji's heart in a special way and that she has sent her best wishes for him. Devender was speechless after hearing this.

The contestants on the show are being judged by Anu Malek, Salim Merchant and newly married Sunidhi Chauhan, who recently got hitched to composer Hitesh Sonik.

Devender Pal Singh of Ludhiana, Punjab is one of the final contestants in Indian Idol. The young man learning music since childhood used to sing in jagrans but is now being appreciated for his talent by the viewers.
