Replying to a query by AGP MLA Phani Bhusan Choudhury during Question Hour, state Planning and Development Minister Ajanta Neog said, "The total anticipated loss of Assam would be around Rs 9,000 crore in 2015-16 due to change in central policies."
Giving details, she said that the state would get Rs 4,051.64 crore less due to delinking of a few central schemes and it had to bear an additional burden of Rs 2,951 crore due to change in funding pattern, among others.
"The Plan allocation for 2015-16 was fixed at Rs 25,406 crore, comprising Rs 20,127.79 crore of central share and rest of the state. However, only Rs 6,357.94 crore has been released by the Centre till mid-January," Neog said.
