The company has claimed this device to be the thinnest Window 8 tablet cum detachable notebook on this planet. It also offers a 178 degree viewing angle and is powered by Intel’s third generation i5-3337U processor, which will use Windows 8 Professional as its operating system.

Separate storage facility has also been offered along with the hybrid device in the form of 500 GB hard drive for notebook and 128 GB solid state drive for tablet apart from additional ‘ASUS WebStorage’ cloud storage.

Transformer Book TX300 also sports a 5 mega pixel camera on rear, capable of recording high definition videos (720p) and another camera on front, which can record HD videos as well. The device features a 500 GB hard drive, two USB 3.0 ports and a built-in battery apart from featuring a backlit keyboard and gesture touchpad. This hybrid device also features a mini display port, which can be connected to an HDTV, letting the user have big-screen viewing experience.

Transformer Book TX300 also sports an attractive all-metal design, which is similar to ASUS Zenbook. It also has ASUS SonicMaster audio with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower for super-fine hearing experience.

At the same time, the device promises to provide hassle-free connectivity incorporating Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microSD card slot and microUSB port. The company also claims that the battery will keep the device get going up to five hours in full notebook mode and around eight hours in tablet mode, along with standby time of two weeks.

Though specifications appear pretty decent and appealing, the device may not find its feet amongst end-users given the price tag it carries. At a whopping price of Rs 91,999, the product may find fewer takers.
