Mumbai: Even as the government gropes in dark to crack the module which carried out the bomb blast in Delhi on Wednesday, Anti Terrorists Squad (ATS) of Mumbai police has failed to make a breakthrough into the serial Mumbai blasts that rocked the financial capital about two months back.

Over two dozen people lost their lives in the blasts at Zaveri Bazaar, Opera House and Dadar on July 13.

It is noteworthy that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had distanced itself from the blast probe after a rift with Mumbai ATS, which was assigned the job of investigating into the serial blasts.

The Maharashtra government had claimed after the blast that they have made leads and would crack the case soon without any help from external agencies.

During the initial investigations, twelve teams of NIA and ATS were formed to conduct a nationwide investigation in connection with the Mumbai blasts.

It is worth mentioning that the investigations into the blast have slowed down after death of one of the suspects in police custody.
