New Delhi: After two weeks of the release of Odisha BJD MLA Jhina Hikaka, who was in the captivity of the Maoists for over a month, the ultras once again dared to abduct and later killed an Assistant Sub-Insepctor (ASI) from Nuapada district in Odisha.

The Maoists abducted Kruparam Majhi, posted at the Nuapada district located in western part of Odisha state, when he was on his way to a local market at 11 AM.

Later on, they shot Majhi dead reportedly around 3:30 pm.

It is to be noted that Hikaka was abducted from Koraput district on March 23 and was released on April 26 after a marathon session of negotiation of the mediators with the ultras.
