From Mercedes to Maruti and Toyota to Mahindra, every single company extended its best foot forward and left no stone unturned to supersede its competitor.

We have listed some of the best cars which were seen at the various platform at the Auto Expo 2016:

1. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza:
Maruti Suzuki kick started the 13th Auto Expo with the launch of its stylish compact SUV car 'Vitara Brezza'. The car is expected to hit the market in next two month at an expected range of Rs 7 to Rs 10 lakh.

2. Mercedes S 500 Cabriolet: The Mercedes pavilion displayed its new S 500 Cabriolet at the 13th edition of the Auto Expo. The car offers its user a plush cabin that is loaded with gadgetry. The driver and front passenger get a central command control, which has a touch pad on top. This controls the large 31.2 CM display, which has everything from navigation to the in-car entertainment (ICE) system. The steering console has all the right keys. These include everything the driver would need to make his experience better. Bluetooth connectivity, easy console/media jogging and volume keys are present here. The Mercedes Benz S500 Cabriolet also has front and rear intelligent climate control systems.

3. Chevrolet Essentia
Chevrolet has brought the all new Essentia compact sedan for the Indian customers. Based on the current generation Beat hatchback, Essentia shares styling cues with the former and is also expected to feature the same set of engines that currently power Beat hatchback. That said, Essentia line-up is likely to be offered with a choice of two engines including a 1.2 litre STEC II petrol motor engendering 77bhp along with 107Nm. Diesel variants will house a 1.0 litre XSDE powerplant developing 56bhp of power along with 142.5Nm torque.

4. BMW 7 Series: Unveiled by Master-Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, the new-generation BMW 7-Series flagship saloon made its India debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. Priced between 1.1 crore - 1.5 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new BMW 7 Series sedan is based on the all-new Cluster Architecture (CLAR) Rear Wheel Drive platform. However, the saloon isn't dramatically different than the outgoing version in terms of dimensions but does get an evolved design language and looks sharper and more sophisticate.

6. Volkswagen Polo GTI:  The Volkswagen Polo GTI was launched in India in September 2016 and has recieved an official unveil at the 2016 Auto Expo. In a surprise move, however, the German carmaker has decided to get the performance hatchback in the three-door avatar initially. It’s a bold strategy since India has no history of three-door cars, except for the 2003 limited-edition Zen Carbon and Zen Steel, since there hasn’t been any demand for them. But Volkswagen is confident that the launch of the GTI could start a new trend. Besides, a five-door version could make its way into the country at a later stage.

7. Nissan X trail: Nissan has showcased the X-Trail at the 2016 Auto Expo. The Nissan X-Trail SUV was earlier slated to launch during Diwali last year but according to our sources, the launch was delayed due to the manufacturer struggling to meet the right price point. The X-Trail was the first Nissan to be officially sold in India in 2004 through the Japanese carmaker's national sales network. However, the last generation X-Trail was discontinued in 2014 due to low demand.
