Beijing: China's auto sales rose 9.9 percent year-on-year to 1.52 million units in July, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) said. The development should come as consolation of sorts for the Asian giant as its economy has pretty slowed down in the recent times.
In the first seven months, sales totaled 12.3 million units, an increase of 12 percent from the same period last year.
Auto output in the January-July period rose 12.46 percent from a year ago to 12.36 million units, according to CAAM.
