Bilga: Akal Academy Bilga, an organization run by Kalgidhar Baru Sahib and Sant Baba Iqbal Singh, launched an awareness rally against the drug addiction. Jagdeep Singh Vadala, brother of Gurpratap Singh Vadala, MLA from Halka constituency of Punjab flagged off the rally.
The rally passed through Uppal, Bupa, Umarpuri, Talwan and Pavadra village and concluded at Akal Academy Bilga. The rally was welcomed and appreciated everywhere.
On this occasion, Principal Harpreet Kaur Sahni told this rally has been organized to spread awareness among people about fatal effects of drugs. She said that youths are highly addicted to this menace. It is essential to make them aware of the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol through organizing such rallies added Kaur.
The day marked the presence of Pyara Singh, Gurnaam Singh Jakkhu, Darbara Singh, Nindar Singh Aujala, Rashpal Singh, Pawan Kumar Bhutto along with other school employees.
