Making his point at a meeting with UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav who made a courtesy call on him at the Raj Bhawan on Tuesday on his way back from Mussoorie, the governor said joint tourism projects would be greatly beneficial for the two states and they should take initiatives in this direction on a priority basis.
Qureshi also expressed hope that the pending matters of distribution of assets between the two states would be resolved soon, an official release here said.

An integral part of Uttar Pradesh at one time, Uttarakhand would always expect a benevolent and supportive approach from UP government, he said.
The UP CM was accompanied by his cabinet minister Rajendra Singh Chaudhary and SP leader in Uttarakhand Vinod Barthwal.

Yadav presented the Governor with a shawl and a bouqet. The Governor presented him with a souvenir.

UP cabinet minister Azam Khan also called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan later in the day and extended an invitation to him to grace the birthday celebrations of Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar at Jauhar university at Rampur as the chief guest on December 10.
