Haridwar: Augmenting pressure on the Central government, yoga guru Baba Ramdev has again initiated a drive to attack on the Congress. This time, Baba is using technology as a medium to seek support from his followers against the Congress.

Baba Ramdev in his second phase of the movement beginning from July 1 has asked his followers not to vote for the Congress in the upcoming elections.

While addressing to thousands of practitioners at free yoga camp organized at Patanjali Yogapeeth here, Baba spoke about the June 4 crackdown and the barbaric behaviour of the government towards him and his supporters.

Accusing the government of following dictatorship, Baba alleged that several people have come out in his support and are asking him to run a country-wide movement. “This is not my work, but I am being guided by the anger and pain of several people who want justice,” he claimed.

Baba’s associate Acharya Balakrishna claimed that police’s brutal assault on June 4 has added to people’s fury, which will certainly reduce the Congress vote bank by at least 50 percent in the next elections.

Bharat Swabhimaan Trust has also lauded Baba’s efforts for getting one crore people along with him in the missed call campaign and has asked the yoga guru to spread his ideology through SMS.

Observers deem his move as a campaign to initiate people to vote against the Congress.

Evidently, in his round two against UPA-led government, Baba is targeting the Congress with the help of media and technology to spread his movement. The message in writing is also published by some of the channels.
