New Delhi: Continuing with his campaign against blackmoney, yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Thursday met Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief and Aviation Minister Ajit Singh.

Defending the move of Ramdev in fighting for bringing back the blackmoney to India, Ajit Singh said, “Swamiji has been rasing the issue of blackmoney. People know about money stashed abroad and we also agree that it should be brought back. Blackmoney is also used in elections and that is a big problem.

The govt has to deal with other countries, their laws. Babaji is making the people aware of the problem of blackmoney. It is not the question of a party. It is a big problem.”

Stressing the need of creating an awareness in the general public to bring back the blackmoney to the country, Ajit Singh said, “Election Commission tried in the Lok Sabha polls, Assembly elections - but I think they have not been successful.”

Ramdev said, “I want a political consensus on this issue. I am thereby meeting top leaders of all the parties. I have already met Sharad Pawar in this issue and will also meet all the UPA constituents.”

He also clarified that he has requested the PM, Soniaji for time to discuss this issue.

Ramdev will also hold discussions with JD(U)leader Sharad Yadav in the evening. Earlier this week, Ramdev met Bharatiya Janata Party President Nitin Gadkari and UPA ally Sharad Pawar seeking support for his movement to bring back the blackmoney allegedly stashed abroad.
