Bhopal: Pledging for greater development of the state, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that the sections which are lagging behind would be motivated to come forward. 

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan while addressing a seminar at the state- level Ramji Mahajan Backward Class Service Awards at Bhopal on March 18, said, “The backward classes are major contributors to the development of the society. Now when Madhya Pradesh is setting records in wheat production, its major contribution is of the backward classes.”

The programme, to be held at Ravindra Bhavan, will be presided over by Rajya Sabha MP Prabhat Jha while the guests of honour were Urban administration and development Minister Babulal Gaur, Backward Classes Welfare Minister Ajay Vishnoi, Farmers Welfare Minister Dr. Ramkrishna Kusmaria, Co- operatives Minister Gaurishankar Bisen, Minister of State for Home Narayan Singh Kushwah, Minister of State for School Education Nanabhau Mohod and Minister of State for Medical Education Mahendra Hardia.

The social workers who were conferred with Ramji Mahajan Backward Class Awards include Premabai (Indore), Ritu Patwa (Bhopal), Leela Lodhi (Sehore), Kausar Raeen (Hoshangabad), Shivani Yadav (Sehore), Uma Brajesh Patel (Damoh), Usha Devi Patel (Sagar), Sheela Malviya (Bhopal), journalist Gaurishankar Chaurasia (Bhopal), Ram Bhuvan Vishwakarma (Satna), Moolchand Yadav (Indore), Shivraj Chandel (Hoshangabad), Mohan Solanki (Khargone), Narayan Rao Banjare (Betul), Leeladhar Dharve (Ujjain) and Sandeep Patel (Damoh).
