Moga: In the wake of the UPA government facing charges of alleged kickbacks in the VVIP chopper deal, the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal sought high-level probe into the charges, saying that the former has failed in all fronts.
"A high level probe must be initiated into the VIP chopper deal. The UPA government has completely failed in all fronts and remained busy in corruptions instead of uplifting the poor," Badal said after addressing an election rally in support of Joginderpal Jain, the SAD-BJP alliance candidate for the Moga bypoll.
The chief minister also demanded the entire Italian helicopters be put on hold and reviewed.

Cong scams have ‘Italian connection’
Moga: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday alleged all the scams unearthed during the Congress regime, if properly probed, will have "Italian connections".
Talking to media after addressing a gathering in favour of the SAD-BJP candidate Joginder Paul Jain for the Moga by-poll in Kore Wala Kalan village, Badal drew parallels between the Bofors gun deal scandal and the copter purchase scam.
"If the bribe giver was caught in the Bofors scam, then why not the bribe taker be identified in the copter purchase scam too," Sukhbir said.
