Moga: Launching a scathing attack against the Congress, Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal said on Wednesday that Team Anna and the Jan Chetna Yatra led by senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani are welcome in the state.

Targeting the Congress, Badal said that the ruling party at the Centre is adopting a dual policy on Anna’s crusade against corruption.

Addressing the media persons after a state level function here, Badal said, “The SAD-BJP alliance in the state has come out with flying colours as far as transparency in administration and public redressal are concerned.”

Taking a potshot over the difference in position of the Congress over the issue of corruption, Badal said, “State Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh is supporting Anna’s protest, but on the contrary his party ministers at the Centre are strongly opposing Anna.”

Apprehensive over the trend of change in guard in the state after every assembly election, Badal indicated that Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) is open to join hands with any non-Congress party in the upcoming 2012 Assembly elections.

Highlighting the SAD-BJP government’s accomplishments in the state, the Chief Minister claimed that 90 acres of acquired land has been returned to the farmers and around 95 percent of the farmers have been reimbursed.
